Material and /or Parts

Approx Time:

2 hours
1.Mig or Arc welder
2.2 * 25mm * 12mm * 5mm steel blocks
3.2 * 14mm * 75mm long bolts and nuts
4.2 * Flat washer and spring washers to suit
Depending on your drawbar this may not suit you, but hopefully it will give you some food for thought how it can be achieved to suit your circumstances.

A good practice before you do any sort of welding on your vehicle is to disconnect the battery or batteries and make sure you have a good earth.

Also check to make sure any wiring is well clear of where the welding is to be done. The heat caused from the welding can cause the wiring to melt and lead to bigger problems.

Tip
Have a spotter ( a person you can rely on ) with you when you do this job also a little fire extinguisher wouldn't go astray.
